Important Terms and Conditions
This NCMC Debit Plus card functions as a Debit Card cum Offline Wallet.
Debit Card Component
- Please read the User Guide sent to you along with the Card.
- Please follow the instructions mentioned in the User Guide sent along with the Card for generation of the Personal Identification Number (PIN), it’s a 4 digit number, which is required to operate the Card.
Offline Wallet Component
Below transactions can be performed via Offline Wallet
- Offline Wallet Activation
- Add Money
- Service Creation
- Balance Enquiry
- Balance Update
- Spends
- Card Block (card lost/stolen)
- Card closure/damage/replacement
- Card Expiry
- Offline Wallet is in inactive mode when received by customer. Customer has to activate the Offline Wallet by visiting a nearby transit terminal (metro, bus terminal etc.) and performing either of the below transactions:
- Add Money: Customer is required to Add Money either by depositing cash or by the same debit card at the designated terminals located at metro stations, bus stations etc.
- Service* Creation: Request for creation of services should be placed by customer by taking the card to the designated terminal and choosing the desired service from the merchant.
* Service Creation refers to merchant specific services such as monthly Metro pass.
(After activation of the Offline Wallet of the card, by completing above step, customer is free to add money from bank’s E-CHANNELS.)

Add Money:
- Pre-activation of Offline Wallet, customer needs to follow above step for Add Money.
- Post-activation of Offline Wallet, customer is free to add money from bank’s E-channels as well as designated terminals of transport operators.
- Service Creation: Customer needs to follow above step for Service Creation and must visit the designated transport operator/terminal/Metro service for selected service creation.
- Balance (Offline Wallet) Enquiry: POS terminals of designated transport operators will display the balance of offline wallet. Similarly, after Offline wallet transactions, wherever a receipt is generated it will provide the latest balance of the offline wallet.
- Balance Update: When customer performs Add Money transaction through bank’s E-channels, he/she must mandatorily perform Balance Update transaction at the designated transport operator/terminal. Terminal operator will double tap the card with device for updating the same.
- Spends: Only once Customer has activated the Offline Wallet and performed Add Money to maintain necessary balance, can he/she use the card for metro transit cases. At entry gate of metro station, he/she is required to tap the card at designated device and can start the journey. Once the journey is accomplished he/she has to tap the card again at the exit gate. AFC (Automatic Fare Calculator) System of metro will calculate the fare and deduct the amount from offline wallet.
- Offline Wallet blocking/hot-listing: Offline wallet balance cannot be blocked and is liable for misuse if lost/misplaced/stolen.
- Card closure/damage/replacement: The refund of the card may be processed after cooling period prescribed by card network
- Card expiry: The expiry date of the card is printed on the card itself. In case expiry is encountered by customer, the card will cease functioning and all services of the card will also expire. In case of re-issuance of card customer would have to get the service areas written on the new card by operators/merchants.
Precautions in using Debit Card.
- Never use a PIN that could be easily guessed, e.g., day and month of your birth, first or last four digits of telephone number, string of same numbers etc.
- Please memorise the PIN and do not write your PIN on the Card or anywhere else.
- Never keep your Card and PIN together.
- Please keep the PIN secret and do not disclose the PIN to anybody including your family members and close relatives.
- Please change your PIN at regular intervals. Preferably, change it every quarter. In case you have a reason to suspect that someone may have accessed your PIN, please change your PIN immediately.
- Giving your Card and disclosing PIN to someone is like giving a blank signed cheque.
- Please refrain from taking help from any stranger while doing ATM transaction.
- Please beware of "Shoulder Surfing", i.e., shield keypad while entering your PIN from onlookers by using your body. Once you complete your transaction, ensure to collect your Card before leaving.
- Please do not allow any other person to enter the ATM room when you are transacting at the ATM and similarly please wait outside for your turn if ATM room is occupied.
- Please keep a separate note of your card number and associated account number along with any relevant bank addresses/ contact numbers/24*7 helpline numbers in a safe place other than wallet/purse
- These particulars will be required for blocking your Card in case it is lost or misplaced or stolen.
- Be alert. If you find signs of any external fittings or loose wiring at the ATM, please do not use the ATM and report to the nearest Bank Branch/ Contact Centre.
- Never share your Card number, CVV (Card Verification Value), CVC (Card Verification Code), CVD (Card Verification Digit), PIN, OTP (One Time Password), expiry date, etc. with anyone, even if the person claims to be a bank employee or to any email soliciting the information or to any telephonic survey.
- Please use SBI Anywhere –Personal & SBI Quick mobile applications as a personal security tool for managing channels and usage of your Card. The app can be downloaded from Google Play Store, Apple Store, etc.
- Always use your Card only on a secured network and reputed website over the internet to avoid any possible misuse.
- In case your Card is expired, ensure that you destroy the same by cutting it into multiple pieces across the magnetic stripe and EMV Chip.
- Never hand over the consignment containing your Card, once delivered to you, back to the delivery person under any pretext.
